New Install – Rolling Steel Commercial Door

to show a picture of a commercial rolling steel door

Rolling steel doors come in two versions, slat doors and sheet doors. Slat doors are heavy duty and use individual thicker gauge steel slats that are replaceable, while sheet doors are one solid sheet of thinner gauge steel and require the entire sheet to be replaced if damaged. Slat doors are better for high traffic / high use and security, while sheet doors are perfect for lower traffic such as doors that only need occasional access. Storage facilities use sheet doors for example. Note, there are heavier duty sheet doors that are good for more than occasional use while not being as expensive as slat doors.

Running a busy business in a large building that has many doors used for different purposes can require the use both type of doors for maximizing long term costs including mitigating repair and maintenance costs and balancing the need for access.
